Trans PDX Support Group is a peer-led space where trans and gender-diverse folks in Portland can come together for support, friendship, and shared experiences. Whether you're new to the city or have been part of the local queer community for years, this group is a place to connect, be heard, and build lasting relationships.
We know that finding affirming spaces can be difficult—that’s why our support meetings are designed to be warm, welcoming, and free of judgment. We focus on peer support, not therapy, and encourage folks to share as much (or as little) as they feel comfortable.
Meeting Structure: Rose-Bud-Thorn Sharing
Not sure what to say? No pressure! Our meetings follow a simple "Rose-Bud-Thorn" discussion format:
🌹 Rose – Something good happening in your life
🌱 Bud – Something you're looking forward to or working on
🌵 Thorn – A challenge or struggle you’re facing
You can share, listen, or just be present—this is a space for you to feel safe and supported.
How to Get Involved
There’s no need to sign up—just show up! Join us for any of our weekly meetings at Q Center, Kiln, or virtually on Discord. We also host monthly social events to build community in a relaxed, fun environment.
