CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!
We’re building a small-but-mighty team of volunteers to help trans folks relocating to Oregon feel less alone and more supported. We’re calling it the Soft Landings Crew because MOVING IS HARD, so let’s make it soft.
You don’t have to be an expert. You don’t have to have all the answers. You do you.
We just need kind, reliable humans (trans and allied!) who are down to help out with things like:
✦ Navigating Trimet and different Portland neighborhoods
✦ Signing up for OHP and finding great providers
✦ Grabbing coffee and sharing your fave grocery spot
✦ Helping folks search for housing or jobs
✦ Offering a second set of eyes on a resume or application
✦ Helping with errands, rides, or deliveries
✦ Helping folks move into their new places
✦ Lending a hand behind the scenes (admin, social media, grants, outreach!)
✦ Gardening!
✦ DIY home improvement projects
✦ Just being a friendly face and reminding folks they’re not alone
This is about connection, care, and teamwork. If you want to be hands-on with newcomers or support the bigger systems making it all happen, there’s a spot for you.
